Teenage
striker Seamus Brown grabbed a dramatic late equaliser for Finn Harps
against Shamrock Rovers at Finn Park in the Premier Division of the
eircom League.
Brown rose to connect with a Jonathan Minnock free
in the 92nd minute with goalkeeper Russell Payne failing to hold the
ball.
In a tight first-half chances were few and far between
as both defences were on top.
Rovers best chance fell to Willo McDonagh whose
30 yard free flashed just wide after 19 minutes.
Harps finished the half on a stronger note with
Ross Connolly hitting the side-netting with a flick following a corner
while Ian Rossiter saw his close range effort deflected for a corner.
Rovers took the lead in the 78th minute when Pat
McCourt burst into the box to set up substitute Paul Caffery who forced
the ball home from close range.
