Over the history of the League only a handful of players have
recorded such a feat and Kevin McHugh now joins that elite group.
Three former Finn Harps players have also recorded the feat -
Brendan Bradley, Con McLaughlin and Jonathan Speak although only
Bradley, McLaughlin and McHugh have managed 100 League goals for
the club.
Although McHugh scored on his debut for Harps in a League Cup
game against Fanad United at Triagh-a-locha in August 1998, it
would be a further season before he would hit his first League
goal, that coming in a substitute appearance against Cork City
at Finn Park on 14th August 1999. Incidentally, this was the only
time that McHugh scored a League goal while coming off the bench,
all his other 99 were when he started a game.
