Cathal appeared for Harps in the Foyle Cup last year and soon after was promoted to the U21 panel. He made 18 appearances for the club in the Ulster Senior League last season and was also a member of the Fanad United team which swept the board in the Donegal Youth League.

The tough-tackling midfielder has become an integral part of the U21 set up and was on the bench for the recent first team game against Limerick FC.
