Finn Harps Win Foyle Cup Bowl

July 31, 2007

An incredible fightback in the final of the Bowl competition saw the Finn Harps U18 side win the trophy at the expense of Donegal Celtic. The Belfast team had gone three goals in front before the Harps fightback with goals from Barry Tourish, Campbell, and Andrew Mackey leveled the match and meant a penalty shootout would decide the the match.

The shootout was won 4-3 by the Harps team, representing a great start for the partnership with the South Donegal Schoolboys league. Earlier in the competition Harps had been unlucky to lose to Ballyclare Comrades and Bournemouth in the group stages.

The team was managed by Niall McGonigle assisted by Paddy Hannigan.

The Harps Squad celebrate their win.
