Being a shareholder entitles the owner to attend and vote at the clubs AGM and any EGM that is called. It also enables the holder to nominate or second another shareholder to the board of directors, and means that the holder may also be nominated.
Shareholders can also propose motions at general meetings which will be voted on by those attending the AGM. All those who attend general meeting will have full access to the co--operative's accounts. Shareholders can also ask questions, make suggestions and raise concerns at such meetings.
There are currently well over 400 shareholders in Finn Harps holding more than 500 shares. As shareholders these supporters are part owners of Finn Harps FC meaning that the football club is inseperable from its loyal fanbase.
